‘She-Hulk: Attorney at Law’ featured a scene where She-Hulk twerks with rapper Megan Thee Stallion, and Tatiana Maslany thinks it’s actually the most important scene in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
The twerking scene caused quite a lot of reactions and upset some viewers. Tatiana Maslany reflected on this scene at San Antonio’s Superhero Comic Con, saying:
“I had been to multiple Megan Thee Stallion concerts before this. I was ready. That was the greatest moment of my life.”
Show’s head writer Jessica Gao says she and Maslany both agree that the twerking scene is the most important in the entire MCU. Gao says:
“Tatiana said that she thinks it’s the single most important scene in the MCU and I agree with her, it really is. It’s the single most important scene in all of the MCU.”
Some fans weren’t happy with ‘She-Hulk: Attorney at Law’s visual effects. The series finale broke the fourth wall and didn’t have the expected connections to other Marvel projects, but this was done on purpose.
They Were Eager to Work With Megan Thee Stallion
Jessica Gao said it was Jameela Jamil who suggested having Megan Thee Stallion make a cameo appearance. In fact, the team decided to go for it immediately when Jamil brought up the idea. Gao also recalled that Megan enjoyed herself during the shootings:
“The moment she brought her up we said, ‘OK, that’s it, we’re done, there’s nobody else. If she’s willing to do it, we’ll do whatever it takes to make it happen.’ She looks amazing on camera, she’s so cute and she was having so much fun; she’s so game to play, and how great is that tag?”
Maslany also talked about working with Mark Ruffalo. She said Ruffalo is a lot of fun, and he’s just a big kid who makes the set enjoyable. She also found it amazing to see herself transform into She-Hulk on screen for the first time.
Another interesting moment from the show almost didn’t happen. The line ‘Captain America fuuuuu-‘ referring to Steve Rogers losing his virginity, was nearly cut from the show.
