‘Silo’ Actress Rebecca Ferguson Is Not Afraid To Expose Her Biggest Fear

The actress is open about her phobias.

Rebecca Ferguson admits to having claustrophobia and is fine with the public knowing about it. She recently shared on the Variety Awards Circuit Podcast:

“Expose it! I’m quite happy people know because if they listen, they’ll be like, ‘Okay, good to know, she’ll take the stairs when she comes.’”

The actress prefers to climb the stairs instead of using the elevator like she did t reach the studio for her podcast appearance.

Does Being In ‘Silo’ Trigger Her Claustrophobia?

Ferguson also feels the need to check out the exits wherever she is due to her fear of tight spaces. In contrast to that, she stars as a woman living underground with the rest of humanity in Apple TV+’s ‘Silo.’

Still, her role doesn’t trigger her claustrophobia, though. She noted:

“But it’s a location. It’s sets. I know my exits.”

The Actress’ Role In The Sci-Fi Show

Rebecca Ferguson played Juliette Nichols in the 2023 sci-fi series. She explained why she accepted the role despite not being a fan of the genre by saying:

“Obviously, it’s down to me what film I do and why I do it. And the characters that I have fallen in love with have actually been a part of something bigger, whether sci-fi or futuristic or post-apocalyptic. And it’s kind of sticking. I don’t know if the characters are more compelling.”

‘Silo’ premiered in May 2023 and received a rating of 7.5 on Rotten Tomatoes. Apple TV+ renewed the show for Season 2 in June that year.
