A piece of great news has arrived for the fans of ‘Sing.’
It was officially announced that the highly-expected computer-animated musical comedy film, ‘Sing 2‘ will be released on December 22, 2021, by Universal Pictures. What’s more, the official poster (and the first look at it) for the movie has been unveiled to warn the audiences up.
To celebrate the news concerning the highly-anticipated sequel to 2016’s ‘Sing,’ the stars of the movie, flooded their social media accounts; they uploaded the brand new poster of the film, in which ‘Buster Moon‘ is seen looking through the audiences from the theatre’s curtains, and heralded that ‘Sing 2’ is on the way.
Hollywood actor Matthew McConaughey, who voices ‘Buster Moon’ in the movie, written and directed by Garth Jennings, wrote on Instagram:
“Buster is back and ready to #SING2! Welcoming new names to the cast, more to look forward to next holiday 2021.”
The actor, who became a New York Times Bestselling Author with his very first book ‘Greenlights,’ tagged Halsey, Pharrell Williams, and U2 (Bono) on the photo, and announced these names would be a part of the said movie. According to the latest news, Pharrell Williams will voice, ‘Alfonso,’ while Halsey ‘Porsche Crystal.’
As for comedian Chelsea Peretti, shared the same poster and referred to her comedian fellow Nick Kroll, who will reprise his role by voicing pig ‘Gunter,’:
“Pretty excited to be in @singmovie 2! I love how my character turned out she looks so cool and it was so fun to do. Plus you got Lil piggy @nickkroll in there my lil piggyyyyy fren”
As fans might remember, the film, starring Reese Witherspoon, Scarlet Johansson, Tori Kelly, and Taron Egerton, was previously scheduled to be released on December 25, 2020. However, it was announced by Universal Pictures that it had been pushed back to 2021, because of the coronavirus pandemic’s impact.
