Sony Decides To Delay New Spider-Man Spinoff (Again)

Sony announced another delay for ‘Kraven the Hunter.’

Sony pushed ‘Kraven the Hunter’s release back again.

As per the Direct, ‘Kraven the Hunter’ has a new release date. It was supposed to be January 2023, but the date changed several times. ‘Kraken’ will now premiere on December 13, 2024.

Sony aims to release ‘The Karate Kid’ in summer 2025 with this change in their schedule. ‘Cobra Kai’ will finish its final season around the same time, and they want to keep those in line.

‘The Lord of the Rings: The War of the Rohirrim’ will be released the same day as ‘Kraven.’

Their Recent Releases Weren’t Pleasant

Sony’s ‘Madame Web’ and ‘Morbius’ did not do well with critics or at the box office. These didn’t meet expectations, but Sony still makes new films in the Spider-Man Universe, like ‘Venom: The Last Dance.’ This film will be released before ‘Kraven’ on October 25.

‘Kraven the Hunter’ features Aaron Taylor-Johnson as Kraven. It tells the story of how Kraven became A villain. Other names include Ariana DeBose, Alessandro Nivola, and Russell Crowe.

‘Kraven the Hunter’ will be the first film in Sony’s Spider-Man Universe to receive an R rating.
