Sony Is To Make ‘Spider-Man’ Movie With Miles Morales

Fans started looking for the perfect actor to play him.

Sony recently announced they are making a live-action Spider-Man movie featuring Miles Morales.

As per ComicBook.com, the information came from Jeff Sneider’s The Hot Mic podcast. During the show, it was revealed that Sony is already searching for the perfect actor to play Miles Morales.

Sony mostly focused on Spider-Man villains recently. ‘Madame Web,’ ‘Morbius,’ and ‘Kraven the Hunter’ were disappointments for many, so they are glad that Sony is finally making a movie about Spider-Man himself. They believe a crossover between Miles Morales and Peter Parker would be a huge event.

Shameik Moore is Eager To Play Morales

Moore voices Miles Morales in ‘Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse.’ He wanted to play the live-action version for a long time, but it seems unlikely he will get the role. Moore said he would love to do it and would give it his all. In 2023, he told Entertainment Tonight that he would be ready if he got the call:

“Do I want to do it? Absolutely. Yeah, I think if you know the work, I would just be humbled to be able to take on that… I would put my entire spirit into that opportunity. If you’ve seen my work you know what that means so I’ll leave it at that.”

One fan on X said they are happy Sony is finally doing something with Spider-Man instead of making more villain-origin stories. Another fan hopes that the filmmakers, Lord and Miller, cast the right person for the role. Some fans are worried that Sony might put Miles Morales in their less popular movie universe instead of the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
