Sony Pictures Entertainment, which distributes films, TV programs, and videos through certain platforms, made a statement through its social media channels and announced that the firm commenced a collaboration with radio and podcast provider iHeartmedia to contribute to ‘Black Lives Matter’ movement.
In order to inform the public regarding this news, Sony Pictures Entertainment posted a series of photos on Instagram. In one of the photos, the following statement was seen:
“SONY PICTURES IS PROUD TO BE A FOUNDING PARTNER OF BIN: BLACK INFORMATION NETWORK (@BLACKINFONET), THE FIRST AND ONLY 24/7 NATIONAL AND LOCAL ALL NEWS AUDIO SERVICE DEDICATED TO PROVIDING CONTINUAL NEWS COVERAGE WITH A BLACK VOICE AND PERSPECTIVE. WE APPLAUD iHEARTMEDIA FOR THEIR VISION AND INITIATIVE TO CREATE THIS PLATFORM. “
Apart from this statement, according to Variety, Paul Martin, an officer at Sony Pictures Entertainment added:
“There has never been a more important time for Black voices to be heard. We applaud iHeartMedia for their vision and initiative to create this platform for news coverage with a Black voice and perspective.”
Through ‘BIN,’ it will be provided to inform the Black community by focusing on Black lives & points of view; and it will bring a deep understanding.
