The legendary adult animated sitcom ‘South Park’ is back with an hour-long special episode devoted to the coronavirus crisis.
A trailer for the episode titled “The Pandemic Special” has been launched through YouTube. In the video, Randy Marsh announces the pandemic & his related presumptions, and the boys – Stan Marsh, Kyle Broflovski, Eric Cartman, and Kenny McCormick – appear in their classroom encased in protective cubicles.
Central Park also released an official description alongside the trailer, that read:
“Randy comes to terms with his role in the COVID-19 outbreak as the on-going pandemic presents continued challenges to the citizens of South Park. The kids happily head back to school but nothing resembles the normal that they once knew; not their teachers, not their homeroom, not even Eric Cartman.”
The all-new hour-long supersized episode will premiere on September 30 at 8:00 p.m. on Comedy Central and will be available on HBO Max 24 hours after its premiere.
Besides, the show’s highly expected 24th season premiere date hasn’t been announced yet, however, it is presumed that the new season will come soon after this special episode. As might be known, the production of the 23-year-old series has started despite the coronavirus pandemic.
