One of the most known comic book writers, Stan Lee has been remembered by Hollywood stars, on his would-be-97th birthday.
As fans might recall, the creator of the superheroes including Spider-Man, the Fantastic Four, Black Widow, the X-Men, Iron Man, Thor, the Hulk, Ant-Man, the Wasp, Black Panther, Daredevil, Doctor Strange, Captain Marvel, and Scarlet Witch, passed away on November 12, 2018, due to pneumonia at the age of 95.
To remember Lee on his 97th birthday, Robert Downey. Jr. who is portraying ‘Iron Man‘ & ‘Tony Stark‘ in Marvel Cinematic Universe films, took to his Instagram, posted a photo of himself with Marvel Comics’ primary creative leader, and added a caption that reads:
“Are you Tony Stank? 😆 #HappyBirthday Stan 🙌🏽 We miss you… #bts #StanLee #Excelsior @marvelstudios #civilwar #throwback #atlanta (📸 @jimmy_rich ) proof that #tonystark has a #heart ♥️
In a similar way, well-known filmmaker and producer James Gunn shared a photo of himself with Lee and his director fellow Edgar Wright. Along with the photo that was taken in TCL Chinese Theatres, he added the following note by joking on Wright:
“Happy Birthday, @therealstanlee. ❤️ (Who’s that other guy?)”
As for legendary actor Michael Douglas, who appeared as ‘Hank Pym‘ in the MCU films ‘Ant-Man,’ ‘Ant-Man and the Wasp,’ and ‘Avengers: Endgame,’ said he missed Lee so much by writing on Instagram alongside a photo of two:
“Happy Birthday @therealstanlee! I am so thrilled to be a part of your special @marvel world! We miss you! #StanLee”
Apart from these names, Marvel also paid tribute to Lee, by releasing an article titled “Remembering Stan Lee on his Birthday.” In the article, his unique works were praised:
“Working with some of the best artists in the business, Stan Lee would create the larger-than-life characters in the pages of Marvel Comics. Characters and stories that have stood the test of time and continue to dazzle and amaze fans around the world.”
