Kevin Smith recently revealed that he didn’t know which character he played in ‘Star Wars: The Force Awakens.’
Speaking to Entertainment Weekly, Smith shared that he got the wrong idea of who he was playing after watching the movie. “I don’t know who it is that I am,” he admitted.” I think I’m the guy that’s like, ‘Traitor!’ Like the big one. The main stormtrooper with a line that’s, ‘Traitor!’,” Smith said, talking about the stormtrooper played by John Boyega.
For the first week after the movie came out, Smith told people that he was that stormtrooper. “I was telling everybody, ‘I’m traitor, b*tch!’ and they’re like, ‘Are you kidding me!'” However, this didn’t last long. “Then J.J. emailed me and said stop saying you’re traitor, you’re not traitor.
Supervising sound editor Matthew Wood later revealed it was actually David Acord who voiced that line.
Smith’s voice does appear in the same scene, though. He can be heard saying, ‘We have incoming at 28.6! Move!’ during the Resistance’s attack on the First Order.
Smith’s latest movie ‘The 4:30 Movie’ is currently in theaters. It follows a group of friends in 1986 who sneak into their local theater to watch movies, and it stars Ken Jeong, Justin Long, and Adam Pally.
