Steven Yeun was originally cast to play Robert Reynolds, aka Sentry, in Jake Schreier’s ‘Thunderbolts’ film, but he announced leaving the project earlier in the month. While fans speculated over his departure in the past week, the actor talked about the reason at the 75th Primetime Emmy Awards in Los Angeles:
“The strike kind of made scheduling untenable. Deeply respectful to them, and I know they’re gonna make a great, great film.”
Who Will Replace Yeun?
While the rumors about who will take over Yeun’s role in ‘Thunderbolts’ continue, reports are circulating that Austin Abrams, known for his role in ‘Euphoria’ and the film ‘Scary Stories To Tell In The Dark,’ might be in talks for the part.
On the other hand, neither Marvel Studios nor Abrams has confirmed these rumors, and it’s still unclear if the character Sentry will even be part of the film.
