‘Stranger Things’ Actor Joseph Quinn Reveals His ‘Embarrassing’ Regret About Taylor Swift

Joseph Quinn met Taylor Swift and was so starstruck that he said something he still regrets.

During a recent appearance on the Happy Sad Confused podcast, Joseph Quinn shared that he has many cringe-worthy memories from his early days as a star after his breakout role in ‘Stranger Things.’ He joked about often saying embarrassing things when caught off guard and recalled his memory of Taylor Swift:

“I met Taylor Swift once. She was very funny. She said something nice about the show, and I said, ‘Oh, thanks. You’re Taylor Swift’ — meant as a compliment. I remember thinking, ‘That was f*cking stupid.’ But she was very good-humored about it.”

Quinn also said he and Swift are on great terms and are trying to figure out a time to work together. He was kidding, but it wouldn’t be the first time Swift worked with a ‘Stranger Things’ cast member; Sadie Sink starred in her ‘All Too Well’ short film in 2021.

Taylor Swift’s Interaction With Another Cast Member

Another ‘Stranger Things’ actor Joe Keery, who makes music as Djo, was once seen at the same studio as Swift. He said it was just a coincidence, but hinted on The Tonight Show that it might have ‘generated something in the universe.’ On The Spout Podcast, Keery revealed Swift is a fan of his music:

“I just happened to be there the day that she was there.  And she’s really nice. I mean, I’ve met her a couple of times. Before anything happened with this track, she said, ‘Hey, I really love that track of yours, ‘End of Beginning.’ She just said she had heard the song and, you know, obviously I’m like, ‘What? You heard that song? How the hell did you hear that song?'”

The actor added:

“But she’s like a music lover, really. And she’s also so hip to new music and things that are coming out. And so, I guess it’s not shocking to me because she’s like a big fan of music and just digs around and finds stuff. So, somehow it came across her desk, and she listened to it and then said that she liked it. Really, really nice of her.”

‘Stranger Things’ will end with its fifth and final season. It is expected to arrive in 2025. Quinn previously said he could return to the show as Eddie Munson but he isn’t sure.
