Stranger Things’ Finn Wolfhard Is No Longer Interested In A Marvel Role

The ‘Stranger Things’ actor no longer wants to be in the MCU due to recent drop in quality.

Vanity Fair recently hooked Finn Wolfhard to a lie detector and asked him whether he was interested in joining Marvel. He replied:

“Yes. In the past, yes.”

The actor confirmed that he lost interest in the franchise because ‘MCU films have been mid recently.’ He added:

“Do I believe that I would save the Marvel franchise alone as an actor? No.”

He’s In Another Franchise

Finn Wolfhard’s latest film hit theaters on March 22, 2024. He reprised his role as Trevor Spengler opposite Paul Rudd and Carrie Coon in ‘Ghostbusters: Frozen Empire.’

Gil Kenan and Jason Reitman were behind the camera again for the sequel to 2021’s ‘Afterlife.’

The Actor’s Upcoming Work

Wolfhard will reunite with Kenan and Reitman in the upcoming months for ‘SNL 1975.’ The film will tell the events leading up to the ‘Saturday Night Live’ TV premiere. The ‘Stranger Things’ actor will play an NBC page in it.

The principal photography for the project began in March 2024 in Atlanta and Fayetteville, but there’s still no release date.
