Actor David Harbour, who gained international fame for starring Netflix’s fan-favourite series ‘Stranger Things,’ shared a piece of great news regarding the release of the upcoming ‘Black Widow‘ franchise whose release date was delayed three times, the other day through his verified Instagram account.
The actor who previously portrayed the title character in 2019 dated film ‘Hellboy,’ uploaded the official poster for ‘Black Widow,’ in which the lead actor, Scarlett Johansson in a white jumpsuit, and then announced that the superhero film based on the Marvel Comics character would be both in theaters and on Disney Plus on July 9.
Portraying ‘Alexei Shostakov / Red Guardian‘ in the film directed by Cate Shortland and produced by Kevin Feige, Harbour delivered the news with these words:
“Good news! We’re for real for real opening on July 9. Good news! Disney plus plus theaters, all on July 9.”
Then the ‘Suicide Squad’ actor continued his message with a joke:
“Bad news! My suit is still Red, even though I play Red Guardian. Unlike Ms. Widow, I will not fake you out when it comes to color.”
According to the original comics, Harbour will appear as a soviet agent who is serving as the equivalent of another Marvel character ‘Captain America.’ What’s more, the Russian superhero ‘Red Guardian’ would be married to ‘Black Widow’ for a while.
The film, starring Tony Leung, Awkwafina, and Michelle Yeoh alongside Harbour and Johanson will be on Disney Plus with Premier Access for $30 as of the first week of July.
