After Jared Leto revealed his thoughts on possible release of David Ayer’s Original Cut of Suicide Squad, another actor of the movie Joel Kinnaman, who played Rick Flag, and also supported the idea.
Warner Bros. didn’t respond to the fans of Suicide Squad as they waited to hear news about David Ayer’s cut of the 2016 movie after Zack Snyder’s Justice League managed to impress HBO Max.
In David Ayer’s Suicide Squad some of the scenes were cut or changed by WB because they wanted to release a film that wasn’t so depressing as Ayer’s version.
Previously, David Ayer admitted that his version existed and stated that the original scenes were totally amazing. The statements made the fans so curious that they put a strong pressure for the release of the film and they got support from the actors in the film.
In one of his latest chats, the actor Joel Kinnaman also made some statements and explained that he supported the fans and wanted WB to release the Ayer Cut of Suicide Squad.
Suicide Squad included DC’s most popular villains, therefore, it should see the value it deserves and Kinnaman also underlined the fact that fans have to see the director’s vision of their favorite movie and it was a shame that they didn’t, with the following words:
“You always wanna see the filmmaker’s cut, you know? It’s always a shame when the filmmaker’s vision doesn’t make it to the cinema,” he said. “Of course, there’s always going to be compromise. I find it’s the bigger the budget, the bigger the compromise. Usually that’s the case.”
There is no certain outcome whether the fans can convince WB to release the Ayer Cut of Suicide Squad, but they hope that at least WB will take it into consideration.
