‘Suits: LA’ Female Lead Confirmed: ‘The First Purge’s Lex Scott Davis Secures Role Opposite Stephen Amell

NBC’s new spinoff of the hit series ‘Suits,’ set in Los Angeles, has announced Lex Scott Davis as its female lead, according to Variety.

Lex Scott Davis will share the screen with previously confirmed cast members Stephen Amell and Josh McDermitt. The team behind the show hopes to capture the essence of the original ‘Suits’ series, which enjoyed a successful run on the USA Network, by diving into the competitive legal scene of Los Angeles.

The show’s producers shared a glimpse into the storyline:

“Ted Black (Amell), a former federal prosecutor from New York, has reinvented himself representing the most powerful clients in Los Angeles. His firm is at a crisis point, and in order to survive he must embrace a role he held in contempt his entire career.”

They added:

“Ted is surrounded by a stellar group of characters who test their loyalties to both Ted and each other while they can’t help but mix their personal and professional lives. All of this is going on while events from years ago slowly unravel that led Ted to leave behind everything and everyone he loved.”

The Details About The Upcoming Spinoff

In her role, Davis plays Erica Rollins, a determined and clever up-and-comer in Ted Black’s team. According to the character description, Erica is known for challenging the loyalty of her colleagues, revealing her respect for those who stand firm, even without allegiance.

Davis’ previous roles include appearances in ‘Training Day’ on CBS, ‘Rebel’ on ABC, and ‘Florida Man’ on Netflix as well as film credits like ‘Unbreak My Heart,’ ‘The First Purge,’ and ‘Son of the South.’

Meanwhile, her new project remains in the hands of ‘Suits’ creator Aaron Korsh, who is writing and executive producing. David Bartis and Doug Liman from Hypnotic, along with Gene Klein, are also on the executive production team. Direction and executive production duties have been assigned to Victoria Mahoney, with UCP producing the show.
