James Gunn’s new Superman movie is set to be released on July 11, 2025. It stars David Corenswet as Superman, Rachel Brosnahan as Lois Lane, and Nicholas Hoult as Lex Luthor. Filming for the movie began on February 29 this year. The film will explore the life of a younger Superman, balancing his Kryptonian heritage with his life as Clark Kent from Smallville.

This movie is part of a larger plan to reboot the DC universe. Gunn even shared a photo of the Superman logo on Instagram when filming started. However, this recent tragedy cast a shadow over the production.
