T.J. Miller Now Changes His Mind On ‘Deadpool’ Role After Calling Ryan Reynolds ‘Horrifically Mean’

The actor appeared as Weasel in ‘Deadpool’ and ‘Deadpool 2,’ but not in ‘Deadpool & Wolverine.’

T. J. Miller is willing to return to ‘Deadpool’ after saying he wouldn’t work with Ryan Reynolds.

“We talked a little while ago,” the actor talked about his relationship with Reynolds on SiriusXM’s The Bonfire. “I think him asking me, I think he’s just been such a good friend right now that I think it would be really, I think that would be awesome.”

A fourth film hasn’t been confirmed yet, but a sequel to ‘Deadpool & Wolverine’ seems likely after its box-office success. So, Miller is open to returning as Weasel if the sequel happens.

The actor played Weasel, Wade Wilson’s best friend, in 2016’s ‘Deadpool’ and 2018’s ‘Deadpool 2.’ However, he didn’t appear on ‘Deadpool & Wolverine.’

In a 2022 interview on the Adam Carolla Show podcast, Miller said Reynolds was ‘horrifically mean’ one day on set. He also described Reynolds as ‘an insecure dude’ at that time. Miller added, “[I] would not have done ‘Deadpool 3’ if they came to me and were like, ‘We want you to do ‘Deadpool 3,’ and we’re going to pay you twice as much.'”

A few days later, Miller said on SiriusXM’s Jim Norton & Sam Roberts that Reynolds had contacted him, and they cleared things up. The actor explained, “It was a misunderstanding. So I emailed him back, and now it’s fine.”

Miller has had several issues, including sexual assault accusations and an arrest for making a bomb threat. In 2018, he made a fake 911 call about a bomb on an Amtrak train. He was arrested at La Guardia Airport on April 9, 2018, and released on $100,000 bond.

In 2021, federal prosecutors dropped the charges after Miller agreed to pay for the law enforcement costs and continue a program to prevent future issues.

Miller hasn’t been in a movie for almost five years. Due to the allegations against him, he lost his voice role as Tuffnut in ‘How to Train Your Dragon: Hidden World.’ In 2020, he appeared in the rom-com ‘The Stand-In’ and the movie ‘Underwater.’
