In a recent conversation with Screen Rant at the Los Angeles premiere of ‘The Ones Who Live,’ Terry O’Quinn shared insights into his unexpected foray into ‘The Walking Dead’ universe.
Known for his role in the hit series ‘Lost,’ O’Quinn’s venture into another major television universe was not something he saw coming. During the interview, the actor expressed his initial surprise upon being asked to join the franchise, saying:
“I didn’t know. I never thought that, no. It was a complete surprise when they asked me if I wanted to do it, and I didn’t know it, as I said. I was encouraged by a lot of people. I didn’t realize really the size of the dead head universe, so I could have been in trouble if I’d turned it down. I’m quite happy I did. I loved the work and how it turned up.”
Unaware of the vast and dedicated fanbase of the franchise, O’Quinn saw the potential risk of declining such an opportunity. In the end, he was pleased with the outcome and his involvement in the series.
