‘The Boys’ Creator Confirms Next Comic Adaptation To Build On The Show’s Success

After ‘The Boys’ ends with season 5, Garth Ennis will bring his next comic to the screen.

Garth Ennis confirmed that his next project will be adapting his comic series ‘Crossed.’

As per ScreenRant, Ennis teamed up with Six Studios to bring ‘Crossed’ to the big screen. The studio promised a faithful adaptation of the comic, and Ennis himself will be writing the script. This project is expected to be more violent and shocking than even ‘The Boys.’ The show toned down some extreme elements from the comics, but ‘Crossed’ may include even more intense scenes.

‘The Boys’ takes place in a world filled with morally corrupt superheroes, but ‘Crossed’ is set to take a much darker turn. The comic focuses on regular people who become infected with a virus that forces them to act on their worst desires. This leads to horrifying events like torture, assault, and cannibalism.

Unlike typical zombie apocalypse stories, the infected in ‘Crossed’ retain their intelligence and willpower.

The adaptation is likely to stir some controversy due to its brutal content, but Six Studios stated that the film will focus on the human experience during the global catastrophe like other dark, post-apocalyptic films like ‘The Walking Dead’ or ‘A Quiet Place: Day One.’

‘The Boys’ will soon come to an end with Season 5.
