‘The Boys: Gen V’ Producers Reveal Recasting Plans For Chance Perdomo

They plan to change the story to honor his memory.

The producers of ‘Gen V’ share important news about the show’s future.

Chance Perdomo played a key role in the show’s first season. He sadly passed away at 27. The team recently announced that they decided not to replace him in the upcoming season. The following is the statement they released on social media:

“As we continue to navigate the tragic loss of Chance Perdomo, everyone at ‘Gen V’ is determined to find the best way to pay respect to his memory. We won’t be recasting the role, because no one can replace Chance. Instead, we have been taking the time and space to recraft our Season 2 storylines as we begin production in May. We will honor Chance and his legacy this season.”

Perdomo starred in the show as Andre Anderson, who could control metal with his mind. He tragically died in a motorcycle accident last March.

You can see the statement in the tweet below.

He Was Going To Toronto For the New Season

Perdomo was traveling alone from New York to Toronto to prepare for filming the second season of ‘Gen V’ when the tragedy happened. The production for the new season was stopped for a while after his passing.

Chance starred as Ambrose Spellman in ‘Chilling Adventures of Sabrina.’ He was also nominated for a BAFTA for his role in ‘Killed by My Debt.’ He started his acting career with a small part in a British show and grew up loving acting from a young age.

His co-stars, friends, and fans remember him as a cheerful and very kind person who brought a lot of energy to his work.

The first season of ‘Gen V’ is currently available on Prime Video. Season 2 will start production this May.
