A while before, British rapper Wiley posted a long Twitter thread that contains antisemitic messages. Wiley, whose real name is Richard Kylea Cowie Jr., described Jews as “cowards” and “snakes,” and then used the following statements:
“I don’t care about Hitler, I care about black people.”
Then, the rapper continued his unfortunate statement through another Tweet:
“Jewish would do anything to ruin a black man’s life but it won’t work with me I am a savage.”
Following the Tweets, in addition to the police investigation and being dropped by his management company, the rapper drew reactions from a good number of people because of his anti-jewish words.
In order to respond to him, actress Jameela Jamil took to social media; firstly said that she is so sorry for Wiley’s current action that was also a human rights violation. She wrote:
“To my Jewish followers, I’m so sorry to see what has been said about you recently.”
Jamil, who is best known for her role in ‘The Good Place,’ continued by criticizing Wiley & his hate speech:
“Notably, Wiley’s words today have been vile beyond all belief. Entirely inexcusable, and mortifying. Full of violent hatred.”
Later, as an ambitious activist, supporting human rights, body positivity, and racial inclusivity, concluded her message as follows:
“You don’t deserve this. Sending you all of the love.”
