Hollywood actor Ed Helms, best known for playing ‘Stu Price‘ in ‘The Hangover,’ film series preferred not to remain silent about the Capitol riot, made by supporters of Donald Trump, on January 6. ‘The Office‘ alum went to Instagram in order to call out to authorities to duty while pointing the 45th president of the United States, Donald Trump as the main reason for the riots, during which 4 people died.
‘The Lorax‘ star, Helms, first posted a screenshot of his tweet that reads:
“Waiting for any Democrat to simply ask: Why? Why did the mob attack the Capitol? Is there any intellectually honest answer other than the words and actions of Donald Trump? Of course not. It is literally that simple.”
Then the ‘Coffee & Kareem’ star wrote in the caption section that the Capitol riots simply never would have happened without the words and actions of Donald Trump. Stating that Trump’s part on the riots is painfully obvious to everyone, Helms continued:
“Once the riots started, hours 2 and 3 and 4 of the riots never would have happened were it not for the DELIBERATE silence of Donald Trump.”
Later the actor repeated that seeing the main reason and trigger of the riots is not complicated, and he added that “he is at fault.” What’s more, at the end of the caption, the actor asked authorities to impeach Trump.
As fans might remember, Helms, who criticizes Trump’s actions at every turn, through social media, openly announced that he is a supporter of Joe Biden and Kamala Harris, and encouraged his fans and followers to vote for Biden & Harris during 2020 elections.
