The Incredibles 3 Is In Works With A Really ‘Cool’ Story, Pixar VP Reveals

The studio teases more updates to come about the threequel.

Pixar Vice President Jonas H. Rivera brought news about ‘Incredibles 3’ at the D23 expo in Brazil, this weekend. In a video on CinePop’s X, the vice president said, “We are just now starting to write the script and it is so cool. I’m dying, I want to show you more, but we’ll do that later.”

When the audience groaned at the secrecy, he added, “I know… I know, but you gotta have more to look forward to.”

Pixar confirmed ‘Incredibles 3’ at the D23 expo in August and brought back Brad Bird as the director. The official cast is unknown at this point, but it’s expected that Bird will work with the original voice actors, Craig T. Nelson, Holly Hunter, and Samuel L. Jackson.

The cast for the younger characters might change in the new film, though, as the Parr kids keep growing in the story. New voices might also be introduced for villains and side characters.

There’s no set release date for ‘Incredibles 3’ yet. But if the studio follows the same production schedule as ‘Incredibles 2,’ the film might be in theaters by late 2027 or early 2028. The second film saw release three years after Bird started working on its script in 2015.
