Young actor Eddie Hassell, best known for his role as ‘Clay‘ in Oscar-nominated ‘The Kids Are All Right’ starring alongside Julianne Moore and Mark Ruffalo, fatally shot to death in Texas on November 1. He was 30.
The Texas native was shot in the stomach at 1:50 a.m. local time in his hometown, outside of his girlfriend’s apartment according to the police reports. Then Hassell was transported to a nearby hospital, however, the actor passed away from apparent gunshot wounds.
The Grand Prairie Police Department confirmed the devastating news and declared that the shooting was still unclear and there was no suspect in custody. According to Variety, Hassell’s manager said that the actor’s girlfriend did not witness the murder because she was at her apartment, in Grand Prairie, a Dallas suburb.
The news obtained by the New York Times, Hassell’s representative, Alan Mills, one of the actor’s cousins had confirmed his death.
Now, police are offering a reward of up to $2,500 for any information to lead identifying a suspect or suspects.
