According to police said, Ellen DeGeneres and wife, Portia de Rossi were burgled on July 4.
The Santa Barbara County Sheriff’s Office released that the mansion, which is located in Montecito, in Santa Barbara County, California, was “targeted due to the victim’s celebrity status.”
Concerning the burglary, a source stated that “high-value jewelry and watches” were taken. However, the value of the items stolen was not revealed. The Santa Barbara County Sheriff’s Office also announced that they are conducting a detailed investigation to clear the situation.
Following the happening, the authorities advised celebrities not to post on social media concerning they’re going on vacation.
The program host and comedian Ellen DeGeneres had been posting ‘Ellen DeGeneres Show’ videos in the mansion during coronavirus lockdown. Besides, she had purchased the 8,188 square-foot mansion in 2019 for $27 million.
However, residents, Ellen DeGeneres and wife, Portia de Rossi have not made a statement regarding the issue yet.
