In a recent interview with Entertainment Tonight, Teyonah Parris admitted to having ‘zero clue’ about the surprise in ‘The Marvels’s post-credits scene.
‘The Marvels,’ the latest entry in the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) and sequel to the 2019 film ‘Captain Marvel,’ revealed a surprise that few saw coming — featuring Beast in the post-credits scene. Among those shocked by the unexpected twist was Parris, who portrays Monica Rambeau in the film:
“I also went wild [seeing Beast at the end of the movie] because I’m like, ‘Wait a minute! That’s not who I filmed with!’ I had no clue until it aired. I was like, ‘You’re all so sneaky!’ When we filmed it, it was an actor who was very kind, very nice. He was dressed in a lab coat; he looked like a normal, regular doctor. No one said, ‘By the way, this is going to be a little surprise.’ I had zero clue. I found out with everyone else.”

Beast Made a Cameo At the End of ‘The Marvels’
The post-credits scene of ‘The Marvels’ gave fans the first glimpse of the X-Men in the MCU, with Dr. Henry ‘Hank’ McCoy, also known as Beast, making a cameo appearance.
This role was reprised by Kelsey Grammer, who previously portrayed the character in the X-Men films ‘X-Men: The Last Stand’ (2006) and ‘X-Men: Days of Future Past’ (2014). Grammer’s return to his role as Beast was met with excitement. Grammer also said he’s optimistic about future appearances in the MCU:
“It is my hope that you will [see him again]. I can say with a certain amount of confidence that you will. I would love to.”
‘The Marvels,’ which premiered last year, has received mixed reviews after its release. Grossing $206 million worldwide against a production budget of $274.8 million, it stands as the lowest-grossing film within the MCU to date.
Directed by Nia DaCosta, ‘The Marvels’ continues the story from the ‘Ms. Marvel’ (2022) miniseries, marking it as the 33rd film in the MCU. Below, you can watch the trailer for the film.
