Jon Bernthal, best known for his portrayal of ‘Frank Castle‘ on Netflix series, ‘The Punisher,’ took to Instagram to express his excitement about his new drama film project ‘The Bottoms.’
Bernthal released a screenshot of an article announcing his new project and added a lengthy caption to say he is grateful for becoming a part of ‘The Bottoms,’ which will focus on criminality, law enforcement, and friend and family structures in Louisiana, in the mid-90s. ‘The Walking Dead‘ actor wrote:
“This project and the folks that it is about are my heart. For ten years we’ve grown, we’ve lost, we’ve won. But every step of this journey we have taken together, as a family, and that is what the Bottoms is about.”
Then the actor thanked production company Amazon and his loved ones who support him, by saying that their trust is sacred. The actor added that he is grateful and honored for being a part of the project.
“Nothing will stop the boundless spirit of this story and the courage and grace of the folks who have lived it. Their bold bravery inspires me every day. Every. Single. Day. I love y’all. Let’s go!!!!”
According to news obtained by Hollywood Reporter, Bernthal, who is set to star in the series, also co-writes the script with Ben Watkins, best known for ‘Burn Notice’. His role has not been announced because the series remains its project status.
What’s more, ‘The Bottoms’ will be directed by Reinaldo Marcus Green and produced by Brian Kavanaugh-Jones, Rian Cahill, Justin Levy, and Fred Berger.
