‘The Queen’s Gambit’ Star Anya Taylor-Joy Expresses Her Gratitude After Her ‘Saturday Night Live’ Dream Came True

Anya Taylor-Joy, the most-award-nominated star of the 2020 – 2021 period, fired up her social media accounts in order to express her satisfaction with hosting the legendary TV show ‘Saturday Night Live.’

As fans already know, the other night, the actor who garnered acclaim for her performance in the Netflix miniseries ‘The Queen’s Gambit‘ as chess prodigy ‘Beth Harmon,’ appeared in the season finale of the show along with musical guest Lil Nas X. During the show, Taylor-Joy referred to the second season of the miniseries by saying that “Hey Netflix, I’ve got our Season 2,” although there is no official announcement about it.

During her hosting, Golden Globe Award-winning star also stated that one of her dreams came true by becoming a part of the show; in her own words:

“Goodness, it is such an honor to be here, hosting the season finale of Saturday Night Live and this show is, even more, special because it’s the first time this year we have a completely full audience, fully vaccinated.”

After that, the actor, who received accolades including Screen Actors Guild Award for Outstanding Actress in a Television Movie or Miniseries and the Critics’ Choice Television Award for Best Actress in a Movie/Miniseries in 2021, took to her verified Instagram account, released an ‘SNL’ photo of herself to express her excitement regarding the show.

Alongside the photo, in which she is rocking with a fully red dress, Taylor-Joy wrote:

Cannot even begin to express how much this has meant to me. Thank you to the entire cast and crew for making me feel so welcome, cracking me up and being so much fun to play with! And big big love to my gorgeous backstage team.”

If she continues to be so successful, it seems she will host ‘Saturday Night Live’ many more times.
