‘The Sandman’ Is Set To Introduce Loki And Thor In Season 2

Fans got a sneak peek during Netflix’s Geeked Week.

Netflix recently gave fans a first look at Season 2 of ‘The Sandman,’ and it will introduce new characters, including Thor and Loki.

‘The Sandman’ is set to return in 2025, and during Netflix’s Geeked Week, a behind-the-scenes video revealed some of the new faces joining the show. Freddie Fox will play Loki, while viewers will also meet Thor, Odin, and other powerful deities as part of the upcoming season.

‘The Sandman’ will adapt two major story arcs from the original comic series in Season 2: ‘Seasons of Mist’ and ‘Brief Lives.’ In ‘Seasons of Mist,’ Dream throws a big banquet for various gods, deities, and fairies, introducing characters like Thor, Loki, and Odin to the series.

Showrunner Allan Heinberg shared his excitement about this moment. “It’s your introduction to Thor. It’s your introduction to Loki. Odin. It really is just a showstopper,” he explained. Everywhere you look, something interesting and horrible is happening. To have divine representatives from different universes is utterly bizarre, terrifying, and thrilling.”

New members of The Endless will also appear in Season 2. Esmé Creed-Miles will star as Delirium, Adrian Lester will play Destiny, and Barry Sloane will portray The Prodigal, aka Destruction.
