Nina Dobrev, best known for portraying ‘Elena Gilbert’ and ‘Katherine Pierce’ on The CW’s series ‘The Vampire Diaries’ took to Instagram the other day and told of living in the present moment and transcending thoughts of the past or future.
Dobrev posted a photo of herself reading the Oprah Winfrey recommended book, “The Power of Now: A Guide to Spiritual Enlightenment” by Eckhart Tolle and added the caption that read:
“The power of NOWWWW. That’s all we got right? This moment, right here, right now. Seems simple but it’s actually really hard for a lot of people to do. Myself included.”
Then the actress, stated that she was back in full lockdown for 2 weeks before promoting her next film, and added:
“Reading this book has illuminated that for me, but it’s even more impactful to read it in my current situation. I’m back in quarantine, full lockdown, for 14 days before joining “the bubble” for my next film. It’s teaching me to enjoy the moment. This moment right here right now. Not what was… not what could be… not what will someday be… right this second.”
Dobrev who will appear in the TV series ‘Woman 99,’ and movies ‘Sick Girl’ and ‘Wren Pepper’ concluded her message as follows:
“It’s reminding me to stay present in the ‘now’ and take in the beauty around me, the people and things I normally take for granted because I’m too busy hustling and bustling my way through life. It’s making me appreciate what I have.”
At the end of the caption, she asked her fans and followers what are they thankful for, and started a conversation.
