Indian actor and singer Priyanka Chopra, who is receiving high praises from both the viewers and critics for her role as ‘Pinky Madam‘ in the latest work of the film director Ramin Bahrani, ‘The White Tiger,’ went to Instagram with a series of photographs of the heroes of India in honor of India Republic Day.
While marking the day, Chopra pointed out the female figures in Indian history by releasing their black & white photos plus their names. Stating that she has been researching a lot regarding women in governance, the ‘We Can Be Heroes‘ star added that she is reading much these days to understand the importance of women in leadership across the world.
Chopra then revealed a little-known truth that she captured during her readings, on India Republic Day. Alongside the photos of the fifteen women in the first Constituent Assembly, Chopra began her caption by saying that she would like to share an interesting piece of information, and continued:
“Did you know that there were 15 women in the first Constituent Assembly of India and that they helped draft the Constitution of India?”
Then the actor celebrated the day, on which the Constitution of India replaced the Government of India Act, with the following words:
“So inspiring and also an apt day to celebrate the effort of all those who helped build the fundamental principles of India. Happy Republic Day. 🇮🇳🙏”
Chopra’s post, which shed a light on Indian women’s endless efforts, received quite favorable comments, especially from her Indian fellows. Through the comments section, they celebrated the day.
