Golden Globe-nominated actor Mandy Moore released a touching post ahead of New Year’s Eve, through her verified Instagram account, and implied that Christmas is highly different than previous ones.
Moore, best known for her role as ‘Rebecca Pearson‘ in NBC’s drama series ‘This Is Us,’ shared a photo of herself sitting along with her musician husband Taylor Goldsmith, on a piano chair. Alongside that romantic photo, she wrote:
“Sending all the well wishes for a happy and healthy holiday to you and yours, no matter what our celebrations might look like this year.”
Then the actor revealed that she and Goldsmith cancelled all plans for the holiday because of the coronavirus pandemic. According to what she stated, she and her husband “are hunkering down at home, staying safe/binging plenty of tv and eating lots of baked goods” instead of seeing their loved ones, including family members.
Moore continued by encouraging her fans and followers to celebrate Christmas despite all the negatives of 2020. She also heralded a helping act she will carry with the Christmas spirit:
“The holidays are a tricky time, exacerbated all the more by this wild year…. So I’m holding extra space for those who have lost a loved one or a job, those weathering this time solo or away from loved ones, those just overwhelmed by the magnitude of all this year has been….. We got this, friends.“
Two-time Screen Actors Guild Award-winning actor concluded her message with words full of hope:
“As the inimitable @glennondoyle says: We can do hard things. Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays. Xoxo”
Actually, it was quite predictable that Moore and her husband cancelled their holiday plans; as known, the couple announced through their social media account a few months ago that they were expecting their first child. During the coronavirus pandemic, as a pregnant woman, Moore must have decided to keep away from the crowd as the health professionals suggested.
