Tia Mowry Celebrates The News That ‘Family Reunion’ Received An NAACP Image Award

The ‘Baggage Claim’ star Tia Mowry was quick to celebrate the NAACP Image Award glory.

On March 27, Mowry, who gained international fame by starring in fan-favorite sitcom ‘Sister, Sister,’ took to her verified Instagram account in order to express her satisfaction with being a part of the series, ‘Family Reunion‘ which received  NAACP Image Award for Outstanding Children’s Program.

A day after the announcement regarding the award, the actor, who is portraying ‘Cocoa McKellan‘ in the comedy television series created by Meg DeLoatch, released an official poster for the show and then added a caption expressing her excitement. She wrote:

We WON!!! Thanks to all of you who voted!!! We are so grateful that everyone is enjoying this show as much as we are making it for you! Don’t forget!”

In her message, the 42-year-old star also heralded that the new episodes are on the way:

“NEW episodes premiere April 5th ONLY on @netflix @netflixfamily 🙌🏽”

Starring Anthony Alabi, Talia Jackson, Isaiah Russell-Bailey, Cameron J. Wright, Jordyn Raya James, and Loretta Devine alongside Mowry, the series premiered on July 10, 2019. The same year, it was announced that the DeLoatch-created show was renewed for a second season.
