Tina Knowles, the mother of Beyoncé, praised late star Chadwick Boseman‘s wife Simone Ledward Boseman for her brave. On March 27, Knowles took to Instagram account, released a video part from Simone Ledward’s acceptance speech for her husband’s NAACP Image Awards, and added a heartfelt message as a caption.
As known, the ‘Black Panther‘ star was honored at the 2021 NAACP Image Awards for Outstanding Supporting Actor in a Motion Picture and for Outstanding Supporting Actor in a Motion Picture. The awards were accepted by the wife of the late star who passed away due to stage III colon cancer. During her acceptance speech, she made in the name of Boseman, Simone Ledward touched on notable issues while hitting the audience in the feels.
Regarding Mrs. Boseman’s speech, Knowles released the following message:
“Brave Beautiful Queen, we salute you and your King Chadwick Boseman! He for his NAACP Award and you have the courage to do this again! Being so brave ❤️❤️❤️I know how hard this has to be so feel all the love and light that everyone is sending to you ❤️❤️❤️❤️”
Ledward, who previously accepted certain notable awards in honor of her late husband, said at the ceremony:
“Thank you NAACP Image Awards for always giving him his flowers. He was an uncommon artist and an even more uncommon person. But the manner in which we lost him is not uncommon at all. Not in our community.”
Then Simone Ledward encouraged people to get screened against cancer by taking attention to high cancer rates on Black people:
“Black people in this country are 20 percent more likely to be diagnosed with colon cancer and 40 percent more likely to die from it. The age for routine screening has recently been lowered to 45 so if you are 45 years of age or older, please get screened. Don’t put it off any longer, please get screened.”
