Welsh actor Tom Ellis amazed ‘Lucifer‘ fans while hitting them in the feels with his latest Instagram post; on March 29, the TV personality, best known for starring ‘Lucifer Morningstar‘ in the DC Comics-based series, became social and celebrated the 6th anniversary of giving a start to the project that brought him international fame, and he said goodbye to his co-stars and crew at the same time.
In order to mark the day, Ellis posted a photo of the gift he received from his screenwriter wifey Meaghan Oppenheimer: A lighter bearing the dates March 17, 2015 and March 29, 2021. Alongside the black and white photo of his unique gift, the 42-year-old actor wrote the following message as a caption:
“Today is the day. 6 years ago I started a journey with the most amazing group of people and today we say a fond farewell to each other.”
Via the post, the actor also revealed that on March 29, the ‘Lucifer’ crew shot the last episode together. Ellis continued this post which is full of emotions by saying:
“Thank you to every single crew member who has helped bring the story of #Lucifer to life. What a ride ❤️😈❤️”
Of course, the actor did not thank his wife of a year for “the beautiful gift” at the end of the caption. What’s more, his industry friends were quick to send their congratulatory messages to Ellis. Here are some of these messages:
“Congrats buddy!!!! What a legacy. Should be proud to complete that journey! On to the next…🙌” wrote, ‘Outlander’ star Sam Heughan.
“Congrats my friend 🎊 great gift too!!!” added, his ‘Lucifer’ co-star. Tom Welling.
