DC Studios announced plans to bring Bane back along with Deathstroke for a new feature back in September. Tom Hardy reflected on the project in a recent interview with Entertainment Tonight.
Asked if he’d be open to reprising the role in it, he shared, “Oh, hell yeah. I’d love to. But I don’t know if that’s for me. I did my run, let somebody else have a go.”
The ‘Captain America: Brave New World’ co-writer Matthew Orton is developing the script for the Bane-Deathstroke movie, but no director or cast member is attached yet.
In fact, there’s a chance that the movie will not move forward, as James Gunn recently warned that not all of the projects in development for the DC Universe were bound to happen.
The director wrote on Threads, “Just to clarify, I said everything we originally announced was still in development not that it’s still coming. That all depends on the scripts! We’ll never put a half-assed script in production just because it was announced.”
Upcoming movies on the DC release calendar include ‘Superman,’ ‘Supergirl: Woman of Tomorrow,’ ‘The Authority,’ ‘The Brave and the Bold,’ and ‘Swamp-Thing.’ For TV, ‘Creature Commandos,’ ‘Lanterns,’ ‘Waller,’ ‘Paradise Lost,’ and ‘Booster Gold’ are on the way.
An official teaser from ‘Superman’ arrived last week while a new trailer for ‘Creature Commandos’ was recently released.
