Young actor Tom Holland, best known for portraying ‘Spider-Man’ in the series of Marvel Cinematic Universe superhero films, took to Instagram the other day to express his satisfaction for being a part of Anthony and Joe Russo’s forthcoming crime & drama movie, ‘Cherry.’
Holland, grabbing the London Film Critics Circle Award for Young British Performer of the Year, included a set of never-seen photos from the movie, based on the novel of the same name by Nico Walker, and warmed up the viewers before its release. Alongside the photos, in each of which he appears nervous in accordance with the film’s atmosphere and story, added a caption that reads:
“I can’t tell you how proud of this movie I am. #cherry”
The 24-year-old actor is must be really pleased for portraying ‘Nico Walker,’ a US Army veteran who was sentenced for bank robbery, so much so that, he previously shared several posts through Instagram to say about his involvement in the movie and his satisfaction with this involvement. Holland uploaded a photo of himself with the whole film crew a few weeks ago and wrote the following message as a caption:
“They say you’re only as good as the people you work with. I work with the best! #cherry”
The filming for ‘Cherry,’ starring Ciara Bravo, Jack Reynor, Forrest Goodluck, and Bill Skarsgård alongside Holland, started on July 15, 2019, after AGBO (Anthony and Joe Russo’s production company) had purchased the film rights to the novel. Before Russo’s attempt, actor James Franco was originally set to direct the film, under the brand of Sony.
What’s more, Holland’s film will be released theatrically on February 26, 2021, and will hit Apple TV+, which is the platform that acquired the license of the movie in September 2020, on March 12, 2021.
