‘Tulsa King’s Sylvester Stallone is at the center of a pretty serious issue.
The crew working on the show alleged that Stallone and Craig Zisk weren’t very nice to them. As per Deadline, the two supposedly used words like ‘ugly’ and ‘fat guy with cane’ to talk about the background actors. The sources also claimed that Stallone wanted ‘pretty young girls’ around him instead of the extras.
Rose Locke is in charge of picking the extras. She was so unhappy with the news that she decided to quit the show. The company she works for said, ‘We’re out,’ and decided to stop working on ‘Tulsa King,’ too:
“We wanted to send you an update on the happenings here in our casting world. We have chosen to part ways with ‘Tulsa King.’ We will be finishing up next week, and the 12th will be our last day. We send well wishes to whoever takes over the show. We thank all of you great background artists for your continued support.”
Zisk Denies The Allegations
Zisk says these stories aren’t true. He told TMZ that there was a mistake because they needed younger people for a scene in a cool, young bar, but they got a different group instead. He also said that Stallone’s wife was there, which makes the story about wanting young girls around seem unlikely.
Zisk added that he tried to fix the problem by asking for photos of the extras beforehand.
‘Tulsa King’ is a show about a New York gangster named Dwight who’s sent to Tulsa, Oklahoma, to start a new crime group. The first season was a hit, and many signed up to watch it on Paramount+. The show is expected to return this fall with more surprises promised by Stallone himself.
