Hollywood actor Nikki Reed, best known for her portrayal of ‘Rosalie Hale‘ in the fan-favorite vampire-themed romance fantasy film, ‘Twilight,’ did not be indifferent to Amanda Gorman’s poetry performance; she took to Instagram on January 22 to praise the youngest poet to read at a presidential inauguration.
Reed posted a photo of Gorman, taken by Kelianne, through her verified Instagram account and wrote that she is a true inspiration with her poetry skills for all the women. The actor, stating she was amazed by Gorman’s poem ‘The Hill We Climb‘ at the inauguration of the 46th President of the United States, Joe Biden, said the followings in her message:
“You are exactly what the world needs. You are an inspiration to young women everywhere; teaching the healing power of language and the bridge-building capabilities that exist when we communicate our truth from our hearts.”
The ‘Thirteen’ star then said Gorman made her believe in “them” again; in her message, she also told of her writing poem experience. According to what she stated in the caption section, Reed entered into a special school program to use words to express her hope, frustrations, and fear through the poem, and it totally changed her life.
“It made me want to write, because I knew that if I did, someone somewhere might connect with my words. The connection is what we all crave, and you have brought people together through your gift. I am amazed by you…“
Reed concluded her words by saying that she is a forever friend and fan of Gorman.
Apart from Reed, a great number of people in the celebs world took to their social media accounts to release posts like the above-mentioned one, devoted to Gorman, after her performance on January 20.
