Tyrese Gibson claims that the fans and supporters of ‘Fast & Furious 9‘ are quite different from the others!
On May 22, the actor and singer, best known for starring ‘Joseph “Jody” Summers‘ in the fan-favorite film ‘Baby Boy,’ went to his verified Instagram account to celebrate the victory of ‘Fast & Furious 9,’ where he is appearing as ‘Roman Pearce,’ at the box office.
In order to mark that the film, also known as ‘F9,’ broke the pandemic-era box office record, the actor released a screenshot of the report by Variety. Underneath the photo showing the article titled “Box Office: ‘F9’ Zooming to Huge $160 Million-Plus Debut Overseas,” Gibson wrote the following message:
“Nobody wants to go to theaters – Got it F9 fans and supporters feel a way! They want Fast and they want Fast in theatres! This is so amazing congratulations all around, the whole cast and crew!”
As known, there was no consensus about the theatrical release for the film because of the ongoing coronavirus pandemic. Despite all of the concerns, the ‘F9’ generated more than $160 million after having been released in various countries including Russia, Hong Kong, Egypt, Saudi Arabia, and Korea; and it has been ranked as the “largest overseas debut since COVID-19 hit.”
By referring to that, Gibson reminded his fans and followers that the film has not been out in the United States; in his own words:
“Let’s get her done! Scary thing is the movie hasn’t been released in the US yet!”
The film, starring Vin Diesel, Michelle Rodriguez, Chris “Ludacris” Bridges, John Cena, Sung Kang, Helen Mirren, and Charlize Theron, will be released on June 25.
