‘High School Musical’ alum Vanessa Hudgens announced the ‘The Princess Switch‘ sequel is about to head to Netflix.
Hudgens took to Instagram on November 10 and heralded that ‘The Princess Switch: Switched Again‘ would be out on November 19. The young star, who was last seen in ‘Bad Boys For Life‘ alongside Will Smith, posted an official teaser for the Christmas romantic comedy film, adding a caption that reads:
“The rumors are true, there are three of me! And one of them’s a QUEEN yall!!!! The Princess Switch: Switched Again, coming to @netflix November 19″
As widely known by Netflix users, the first movie, ‘The Princess Switch,’ based on Mark Twain‘s novel titled ‘The Prince and the Pauper,’ was released through the streaming giant on November 16, 2018, and it received mixed reviews from critics and viewers. Furthermore, Netflix announced a sequel shortly after its release.
In the sequel, ‘The Princess Switch: Switched Again’ Vanessa Hudgens reprises her multiple roles as ‘Princess Stacy,’ ‘Duchess Margaret,’ and ‘Lady Fiona.’ The cast also includes Nick Sagar (as Kevin), Lachlan Nieboer (as Antonio Rossi), Sam Palladio (as Prince Edward), Mark Fleischmann (as Frank De Luca), and Sussane Braun (as Mrs.Donatelli).
According to the tips obtained from the teaser, ‘Switch 2′ focuses on Princess Stacy,’ and ‘Duchess Margaret,’s throne struggle against a third look-alike cousin ‘Lady Fiona.’
The official description released through YouTube for the movie, directed by Mike Rohl is as follows:
“Can Stacy and Margaret pull off ANOTHER switch so Margaret can spend more time with Kevin, just ahead of her of coronation? Or will a new lookalike, party girl Fiona, foil their holiday plans?”
