The latest trailer for ‘Venom: The Last Dance’ confirmed that the symbiotes’ creator, Knull, would make his first live-action appearance in the film. Following that, fans speculated on who would play the villain, with some suggesting ‘The Walking Dead’ star Norman Reedus.
According to insider Daniel Richtman, though, the ‘Venom: Let There Be Carnage’ director Andy Serkis is the one behind the character. Richtman recently noted that Serkis is “expected to reprise the role in future Sony/Marvel projects, which means we could be seeing a whole lot more of Knull.”
This news fueled the rumors that Knull could be the main villain of ‘Spider-Man 4.’ Ever since Tom Hardy’s Venom made a cameo in ‘Spider-Man: No Way Home’ and left a piece of himself back in Earth-616, theories suggested the upcoming film would feature a possible team-up between the two characters against a worldly threat.
There are no official details about the plot or release date of ‘Spider-Man 4’ yet but ‘Venom: The Last Dance’ will hit theaters on October 25.
The third installment’s synopsis reads, “Eddie and Venom are on the run. Hunted by both their worlds and with the net closing in, the duo are forced into a devastating decision that will bring the curtain down on Venom and Eddie’s last day.”
In addition to Tom Hardy, the official cast includes Chiwetel Ejiofor, Juno Temple, Rhys Ifans, Peggy Lu, Alanna Ubach, Stephen Graham, Clark Backo, and Cristo Fernández.
