Canadian actor Katheryn Winnick obtained a WIN award (Women’s Image Award) for the best director.
‘The Art of the Steal‘ star received the award for her directorial debut on ‘Vikings.’ As might fans remember, Winnick directed an episode of the series titled ‘Valhalla Can Wait‘ in 2020.
Winnick, who also served as a director for ‘Wu Assassins‘ episode ‘Legacies‘ in 2019, announced the exciting news through her verified Instagram account. The awarded actor & director wrote:
“Wow! Thank you Women’s Image Awards for awarding me BEST DIRECTOR in Film & Television for my Directorial Debut on Vikings. 🎬”
Portraying ‘Lagertha’ on the historical drama television series created by Micheal Hirst, the 42-year-old also received highly supportive messages from her fans, followers, and industry friends. Clive Standen, who plays ‘Rollo’ in ‘Vikings‘ wrote as a comment:
“This girl is on 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥“
The other ‘Vikings’ star, Peter Franzen, playing ‘Harald Finehair’ added:

As she did for celebrating the news, a month ago, the new director announced that she had been nominated for the award through Instagram again. Winnick wrote that she was so excited to let fans know about she had got nominated for the best director.
