The upcoming fantasy-comedy film directed by Robert Zemeckis whose previous works are ‘Forrest Gump’ and ‘The Polar Express,’ ‘The Witches’ would be available on HBO Max on October 22, Warner Bros. announced.

The official Instagram page for Warner Bros. Pictures released the official poster of film, based on the 1983 novel of the same name by Roald Dahl, and added a caption that reads:

“Witches Are Real! #TheWitchesHBOMax is coming exclusively to @HBOMax in the US on October 22! Internationally, #TheWitchesMovie will be in cinemas soon.”

In ‘The Witches’ Academy award-winning actress Anne Hathaway appears as ‘The Grand High Witch’ while Golden Globe Award winner Octavia Spencer portrays ‘The Grandmother.’

The rest of the cast is as follows: Jahzir Kadeem Bruno (as ‘The Boy’), Stanley Tucci (‘Mr. Stringer’), Chris Rock, Kristin Chenoweth, Codie-Lei Eastick (‘Bruno Jenkins’), Charles Edwards (‘Mr. Jenkins’), Morgana Robinson (‘Mrs. Jenkins’), Eugenia Caruso (‘Consuella’), and, Simon Manyonda (‘Sous-Chef’).

As one’s known, the film was previously scheduled to release in theatres in October, however, it postponed due to the coronavirus pandemic, like the many of 2020 dated films.
