Marvel’s ‘What If…? – An Immersive Story’ is available on Apple Vision Pro.

Marvel fans have a new interactive experience called ‘What If…? – An Immersive Story,’ now available exclusively on the Apple Vision Pro.

As Marvel reports, In this story, Captain Marvel (Carol Danvers) arrests Thanos for trying to steal the Reality Stone from Xandar in this story. Thanos is then put on trial, and his brother, Eros (aka Starfox), tries to influence the court to vote in Thanos’ favor.

The Watcher needs help to face dangerous variants from across the Multiverse, and players are chosen to step in. With guidance from Wong, fans will learn to cast spells, use the Infinity Stones, and fight alongside allies in epic battles.

The experience is connected to the Disney+ animated series ‘What If…?’ which reimagines events from the Marvel Cinematic Universe in surprising ways. In this hour-long journey, fans get to be a part of the story, meet different characters, and make important decisions.

There Are Other Familiar Faces As Well

Characters fans will encounter include Thanos, Hela, the Collector, Red Guardian, and many more. The experience features stunning visuals and spatial audio using the Apple Vision Pro’s technology. Players interact with the story using their hands and eyes. They move between mixed and virtual reality to explore new and famous locations from the MCU.

‘What If…? – An Immersive Story’ is directed by Dave Bushore at Marvel Studios and produced by Shereif M. Fattouh at ILM Immersive. The experience is written by David Dong and Phil McCarty, with music by Laura Karpman.

Executive producers include Bushore, Fattouh, Brad Winderbaum, Vicki Dobbs Beck, Mark S. Miller, and Jamie Voris, with Bryan Andrews as a consulting producer.

‘What If…? – An Immersive Story’ was released on May 30, 2024, and is a free app for a limited time. Fans can download it from Apple.co/WhatIfImmersive.
