One of the most popular shows on DC Universe, ‘Doom Patrol‘ has been set to meet audiences with its third season very soon!
The fan-favorite superhero television series based on the DC Comics team of the same name, as known, premiered on February 15, 2019, through both DC Universe and HBO Max.
After a problematic and long filming session for the third season due to the coronavirus pandemic, it is now official that the series, starring Diane Guerrero, April Bowlby, Joivan Wade, Matt Bomer, Riley Shanahan, Matthew Zuk, Brendan Fraser, and Timothy Dalton, will hit streaming platforms as of the date of September 2021. ‘Doom Patrol’ season 3 release date
The series, which follows a superhero team trying to find a way to live in the world peacefully, will be released on September 23, 2021.
According to the latest updates by the streamer & showrunners, ‘Doom Patrol’ season 3 will be consisting of 13 episodes and follow the same schedule as the second season; that means, first there will be the first three episodes and then the remaining episodes arriving weekly.
As known, the series developed by Jeremy Carver had been renewed for a third season exclusively for HBO Max back in September 2020. The exciting news regarding the renewal was delivered by executive producer Carver. In a press statement he said:
“On behalf of the wonderful cast, writers, and crew, we are thrilled and grateful for the opportunity to return to Doom Manor. And we are especially thankful for our partners at Berlanti Productions, Warner Bros. Television, DC UNIVERSE, and, of course, HBO Max.”
Filming for ‘Doom Patrol’ season 3 began on January 4, amid the coronavirus pandemic, and the production has yet finished.
