Further details regarding the upcoming animated anthology series will be released through Disney+ has arrived; let’s check cast, trailer, and the release date for Marvel’s ‘What If…?.’
Back in March, 2019, it was officially announced by Marvel Studios that they were working on an animated TV series based on the ‘What If…?’ comic book series. At that time, it was also declared that Kevin Feige, best known for producing Marvel features including ‘Black Widow’ ‘Spider-Man,’ and ‘Thor,’ would serve as an executive producer. What’s more, the biggest news arrived a little later; Marvel announced that many characters in the series would be voiced by the actors who play them in the original movies.
After a piece of great news delivered, a while ago the release date of Marvel’s ‘What If…?’ was unveiled: according to the official announcement, the series directed by Bryan Andrews will hit the streaming platform in August 2021 and consist of ten episodes.
Cast For ‘Marvel’s What If…?’
As we mentioned above, the cast of the series, which focuses on the idea that what would happen if some major moments in the previous Marvel films took place in a different way, is consisting of well-known actors portraying the superheroes in the films.
According to the full cast list recently released by Marvel Studios, the following stars will be reprising their roles but as voice actors: Jeffrey Wright (as ‘Uatu/The Watcher’), Hayley Atwell (as ‘Peggy Carter/Captain Britain’), Michael B. Jordan (as ‘Erik Stevens’), Josh Brolin (as ‘Thanos’), Mark Ruffalo (as ‘Bruce Banner’), Tom Hiddleston (as ‘Loki’), Chris Hemsworth (as ‘Thor’), Jeremy Renner (as ‘Clint Barton’), Paul Rudd (as ‘Scott Lang’), Michael Douglas (‘Hank Pym’), Natalie Portman (as ‘Jane Foster’).
What’s more, the late ‘Black Panter’ actor Chadwick Boseman also will be a part of the series as voicing ‘T’Challa/Star-Lord.’
Marvel’s ‘What If…?’ Season 2
Unlike many other Marvel series, ‘What If…?’ was renewed 2 years ago! As fans might remember, back in December 2019 – when the series first announced – it was declared that there would be a season 2 for the series.
