‘White Chicks,’ the 2004 comedy film starring Shawn and Marlon Wayans as FBI agents-turned-socialites, made waves upon its release and garnered a cult following. But nearly two decades later, where is the cast now? And is there any chance we’ll see a sequel to this comedy film? Let’s see the details.
Then and Now: The Cast of ‘White Chicks’
It’s been almost two decades past the release of ‘White Chicks.’ How time flies! Here is how the actors from the film look after all these years, and how they kept themselves busy in their careers.
Marlon Wayans
After ‘White Chicks,’ Marlon appeared in films like ‘A Haunted House’ and its sequel. He also ventured into drama with roles in movies like ‘Requiem for a Dream.’ On television, he was part of the sitcom ‘Marlon,’ which ran for two seasons.
Marlon still has been active in the industry, recently cast in ‘Respect’ and ‘Air,’ and produced and starred in ‘The Curse of Bridge Hollow.’ He also hosted the TV shows ‘Marlon Wayans Presents: The Headliners’ and ‘Oh Hell No! with Marlon Wayans.’
Shawn Wayans
Shawn, post ‘White Chicks,’ mostly worked with Marlon in films like ‘Don’t Be a Menace,’ ‘Scary Movie,’ ‘Little Man,’ and ‘Dance Flick.’ He also starred in the sitcom ‘The Wayans Bros.’ from 1995 to 1999. Shawn’s most recent work was a cameo role in the 2016 animated series ‘Animals.’
Anne Dudek
Dudek, known for portraying Tiffany Wilson, later appeared in TV shows such as ‘House M.D.’ and ‘Mad Men.’ She can also be seen in ‘The Good Doctor’ and the upcoming miniseries ‘Manhunt.’ As for her new film projects, she is set to appear in Mädchen Amick’s feature directorial debut ‘Reminisce’ as Yvette.
Jennifer Carpenter
Carpenter is mostly known for playing Debra Morgan in ‘Dexter.’ Her recent films include the ‘Mortal Combat Legends’ series and ‘A Mouthful of Air,’ and she is set to appear in an upcoming film titled ‘Quarantine 3: Genesis’ as Angela Vidal. Her most recent TV work was the Dexter sequel, ‘Dexter: New Blood,’ and she will grace the screens in ‘Control Group’ and the series ‘Ballistic.’
Busy Philipps
Busy, who played Karen in ‘White Chicks,’ later achieved fame for her role in the TV series ‘Cougar Town.’ Apart from acting, she also hosted her talk show, ‘Busy Tonight.‘ In 2019, the actress published a book titled ‘This Will Only Hurt a Little,‘ and recently starred in ‘Girls5eva,’ ‘With Love,’ and ‘Single Drunk Female.’ In February this year, Philipps was announced as Mrs. George in the new film adaptation of the musical ‘Mean Girls.‘
Jaime King
The actress has remained active in Hollywood, appearing in movies like ‘Escape Plan 2: Hades,’ ‘Out Of Death,’ and ‘Code Name Banshee,’ and series like ‘Black Summer.’ She is also expected in the films ‘Lights Out,’ ‘How to Cook Your Daughter,’ and ‘Man’s Son,’ in which she also works as a producer.
Jessica Cauffiel
After ‘White Chicks,’ Cauffiel appeared in a number of films, such as ‘Guess Who,’ ‘Hoot,’ and ‘Bed Ridden,’ which was her last film appearance in 2009. However, she will appear in ‘Legally Blonde 3’ as Margot. Due to her ability to speak in a Russian accent, she also appeared in ‘My Name is Earl’ as a mail-order bride named Tatiana.
Maitland Ward
Following her role as Brittany Wilson in ‘White Chicks,’ Ward appeared in a few more movies, like ‘Out of Practice‘ and ‘Rules of Engagement.‘ She later retired from mainstream acting in 2007 and started engaging in cosplay and making appearances at several comics conventions. Ward later began performing in adult films in 2019.
Brittany Daniel
After her role as Megan Vandergeld in ‘White Chicks,’ Daniel continued her acting journey, starring in ‘Little Man,’ ‘Joe Dirt 2: Beautiful Loser,’ and ‘Cheaper by the Dozen.’ As of now, she has no new projects on the horizon.
Rochelle Aytes
Rochelle continued her career in acting after ‘White Chicks,’ making appearances in numerous films such as ‘My Favorite Five,’ ‘Doomsday,’ ‘Magic Camp,’ and, most recently, ‘The Men in My Life’ in 2021. She also graced the TV screens with roles in ‘Criminal Minds,’ ‘Mistresses,’ ‘The Purge,’ ‘S.W.A.T.,’ and ‘Monarch.’
John Reardon
Reardon appeared in ‘Fallen,’ ‘Scary Movie 4,’ ‘Make it Happen,’ ‘Super Hybrid,’ and ‘Tron: Legacy’ after ‘White Chicks.’ Despite his brief film career, he had a great number of roles in TV shows, such as ‘Painkiller Jane,’ ‘Hellcats,’ ‘Continuum,’ ‘Supernatural,’ ‘Cypher,’ ‘Messiah Complex,’ and ‘Hudson & Rex.’
Terry Crews
Based on his performance in ‘White Chicks,’ Adam Sandler changed one of the roles in 2005’s ‘The Longest Yard’ to give it to Crews, although he auditioned for another role in the film. He also had numerous other appearances in films like ‘Scary Movie 5,’ ‘The Expendables 3,’ ‘Deadpool 2,’ ‘The Willoughbys,’ and ‘The Rumble.’ His TV appearances include ‘America’s Got Talent’ as a host, ‘Sesame Street,’ ‘Brooklyn Nine-Nine,’ ‘Tales of the Walking Dead,’ and ‘Hot Wheels: Ultimate Challenge.’ He now has two projects in post-production, ‘Craig of the Creek: The Movie,’ and ‘JumpStart.’
Frankie Faison
Mainly known for the Hannibal Lecter franchise, the actor continued his career on both big and small screens after ‘White Chicks.’ His roles include appearances in movies like ‘I’m Your Woman,’ ‘Fatherhood,’ ‘Till,’ and the TV series ‘The Rookie: Feds.’ Like Brittany, he also seems to have no big projects ahead, apart from the short ‘Lucille.‘
Lochlyn Munro
Besides ‘White Chicks,’ Munro is known for ‘Riverdale’ and ‘Peacemaker.’ As for his latest projects, he recently co-starred with Bruce Willis in the ‘Detective Knight’ film series and appeared in ‘Totally Killer’ and ‘Creep Show.’ He is also slated to appear in seven new projects, such as ‘Chapel,’ ‘All The Lost Ones,’ Valara,’ and ‘A Job Like Any Other.’
The Sequel: Is it Happening?
Marlon Wayans, in a few interviews, hinted at the possibility of a ‘White Chicks’ sequel. Terry Crews revealed in 2019 that a sequel was happening, but Marlon later stated the deal wasn’t finalized.
More recently, Marlon stated he’d be willing to do ‘White Chicks 2’ if it includes Shawn Wayans.
However, as of 2023, no official announcement regarding the production or release of a sequel has been made. It’s clear that the interest is there, both from the cast and the fans, but whether it materializes into a film remains to be seen.
