HBO Max is ready to fascinate the fans of the DC Comic superhero ‘Aquaman‘ with the upcoming miniseries ‘Aquaman: King of Atlantis.’
As loyal fans can remind, the series executive produced by Aquaman director James Wan was first announced back in January 2020; at that time, the showrunners told the world that the miniseries based on the DC Comics character would be released through HBO Max and the well-known characters, ‘Mera,’ ‘Vulko,’ and ‘Ocean Master‘ would be part of it.
After a year, on February 17, HBO Max released a promotional image and a short trailer for the three-part animated mini-series developed by Atomic Monster/Warner Bros Animation.
Following all these updates, the fans came out with the question: “What’s the release date of ‘Aquaman: King Of Atlantis’? Unfortunately, neither the streamer nor the showrunners announced the release date so far. However, it is expected that the superhero web television miniseries will hit the platform before the arrival of ‘Aquaman 2‘ in 2022.
What’s ‘Aquaman: King of Atlantis’ about?
According to the official synopsis, the animated three-part will begin with ‘Aquaman’s first day on the job as king of Atlantis and continue as follows:
“Luckily, he has his two royal advisors to back him up – Vulko, the scholar, and Mera, the water controlling warrior-princess. Between dealing with unscrupulous surface dwellers, elder evils from beyond time and his own half-brother who wants to overthrow him, Aquaman is going to have to rise to the challenge and prove to his subjects, and to himself, that he’s the right man for the trident!”
