‘The Crown,’ starring Claire Foy, Matt Smith, Vanessa Kirby, Eileen Atkins, Jeremy Northam, Tobias Menzies, Helena Bonham Carter, Ben Daniels, Jason Watkins, and Marion Bailey, is going to follow the reign of Queen Elizabeth II with its fifth season. As known, the last season of the series was released through Netflix, back on 15 November 2020 after wrapping in March 2020 during the coronavirus pandemic. The season, consisting of 10 amazing episodes, was positively received due to the storyline and impactful performances of the cast.
While ‘The Crown’ season 4 was releasing through the streaming giant, it was announced that the series had been renewed for a fifth season. According to the report by Variety, the filming for the new season will start in July 2021; with its a brand new cast.
Reportedly ‘The Crown’ season 5 will focus on the early 1990s on which Prince Charles and Princess Diana were departing from each other. Even though there is no official release date for season 5, it is anticipated it will come in 2022.
